How Black at it! works

Tap the microphone and talk. Ask about Black history, inventors, community and culture, or the harder statistical questions — the app answers in conversation, grounded in real sources. There's no account, no signup, and nothing to fill in.

Black at it! needs a microphone and an internet connection to hold a conversation.

Common problems

It can't hear me

"Couldn't connect right now"

"That's today's free sessions used up"

Black at it! is free, and each device gets a set number of conversations per day so the service stays up for everyone. The counter resets daily — come back tomorrow, or go Plus for unlimited.

It stated a fact I think is wrong

Tap ⚑ Report a response in the footer and choose "Stated something false as fact." Tell us exactly what it said — reports go straight to the developer, get read, and the agent gets corrected. For hard numbers (crime, economic, or health statistics), the app is built to point you to the primary source — FBI Crime Data Explorer, Census Bureau, Bureau of Justice Statistics, Pew Research — rather than assert a precise figure it isn't sure of; if it ever states a specific statistic with false confidence, that's exactly the kind of report that helps.

It said something out of line

Tap ⚑ Report a response. Black at it! is built to never use slurs, never traffic in stereotypes, and never let a hard statistic stand without the historical or structural context that explains it. AI still gets it wrong sometimes, and reports are how that gets fixed.
